Ahhh..., a timeless color combination~ Blue and White, (and quite a departure for me!), conjures up images of china patterns and cozy home decorating. Designed as a tribute to my mothers favorite Blue Onion china, this series twelve of 20" quilt blocks has much to offer any applique lover.
     In my usual tradition, the setting for the blocks is unique and meant to showcase beautiful fabrics. The octagonal center is surrounded by three applique fabric frames, meant to highlight each of the floral motifs. Feature a wonderful stripe fabric in the inner frame to give a Victorian flair to your quilt with little worry about having to match stripes.
     Nestled in the center of each octagon is a different stylized floral motif and reverse applique feather plumes used to fill in the "white" space and create delicate movement to the block. (Those of you familiar with my designs know I can't resist adding that "darned" reverse applique!)
